Meet Nikki Van de Laar
Our Founder, Head Chef, and Creative Force
Back in 2006, after an initial career in analytical chemistry, armed with a London City & Guilds Certificate in Culinary Arts and a Best Overall Student Award, Nikki decided to exchange her lab coat for an apron.
After years of delighting palates with artisan macarons and French patisserie, her journey took a turn towards something even closer to her heart – creating nutritious, delicious snacks from real, natural ingredients.
Superseed was born from Nikki's vision to offer something missing on the market – tasty, low-carb, high-protein crackers without fillers or flours. And she did it! With a sprinkle of science, creativity and a whole lot of passion, Nikki created Superseed.
Introducing Katie
The Backbone of Our Operations
Not far from the mixing bowl and oven, you'll find Katie, Nikki's daughter. Joining the business in 2019 with a vibrant background in retail, she quickly became the linchpin of our production.
Katie wears many hats – from crafting crackers to managing orders and leading new staff.
Her knack for baking also brings indulgent brownies and divine cookies into our lives (and sometimes into our snack packs!).
As a family-owned and run business, every cracker we bake carries the essence of home – wholesome, honest, and utterly delicious.
